For immediate release: In response to Stephen Hester's remarks during his appearance at the Commission on Banking Standards, David Hillman, spokesperson for the Robin Hood Tax campaign, said: "It is galling that Hester and other RBS top brass are still in line for big bonuses despite being 'on the bridge' of an out-of-control, publicly-owned bank. In response to the news today that the banks had been mis-selling complex financial products to small businesses, David Hillman, spokesman for the Robin Hood Tax campaign said: "Banks' bonus culture meant they were happy to rip off customers to keep the cash flowing in - it seems nothing is off-limits in their relentless pursuit of profit.
