In response to Barclays' annual results David Hillman, spokesperson for the Robin Hood Tax Campaign said:

"Barclays' profits may be down, it may be selling off its African operations and setting aside multi-millions for PPI mis-selling and foreign exchange rigging, but the bank is still clearly awash with cash.

 
"It speaks volumes that the bonus pot once again runs into the billions and even includes a hefty sum for ousted CEO Anthony Jenkins.
 
“The City continues to play by different rules to the rest of the economy. It's time the Chancellor took notice and put an end to this special treatment for the banks."
